The Combat Range has been developed to meet the growing need for advanced wound profiles, aiming to improve haemorrhage control training and outcomes in the field. Due to the current global conflicts and warfare conditions being faced it has been brought to our attention that existing training aids available are not meeting the wound profiles required to complete comprehensive training. TraumaSim has been working with active military personnel who have in-depth knowledge surrounding present-day injuries and treatment applications, our contacts have assisted in the design and presentation of this training aid, allowing us to deliver a highly relevant and requested training tool.

These units are a reflection of a traumatic blast injury which has resulted in a significant and complicated open wound, involving arterial and vascular bleeding. The active bleeding for this unit is controlled via a 3lt hand pressure pump. Further complicating the wound and expanding the skill set required to treat this injury is the presence of a fractured femur. TraumaSim recommends using Ben Nye Stage blood diluted: 1 part blood to 3 parts water for simulating the active bleed.

This unit is a critical training aid for any front-line responder having to confront present day combat injuries, we must advance in our training aids to be able to assist in the training of our emergency responders and continue our mission to improve training outcomes. This robust and multifaceted training aid allow trainees to train repeatedly and gain confidence and competence by perfecting and expanding their haemorrhage control skill set. Simply wash, allow to dry and store for repeat training.
