Focused Wound Packing Training

Uncontrolled bleeding can lead to life-threatening outcomes if not managed quickly and effectively. Wound packing using haemostatic dressings is a critical skill that must be practised repeatedly to develop correct technique, pressure application, and decision-making under stress.

The Trainer’s Pack for Wound Packing 1 allows trainees to practise these skills in a controlled training environment, supporting first aid, emergency response, and clinical education programs.

Realistic Bleeding Simulation

The Haemostatic Clotting Trainer Square is available in either a laceration or gunshot wound configuration. Each unit simulates a bleeding wound cavity suitable for repeated wound packing practice.

Bleeding is controlled via a 50ml syringe, allowing instructors or role players to simulate active bleeding during training. By adjusting pressure on the syringe, realistic blood flow can be created to challenge trainees during skill application.

For optimal performance, TraumaSim recommends using Ben Nye Stage Blood diluted at a ratio of 1 part blood to 3 parts water.
