Manufactured from durable, life-like silicone, this wound supports realistic assessment, documentation, communication, safeguarding, and care planning scenarios. The self-adhesive backing and tapered edges assist with rapid application and seamless blending onto a manikin or live role player, maintaining anatomical realism throughout simulation exercises.

This silicone wound is ideal for scenarios involving mental health assessment, emergency department presentation, safeguarding response, trauma-informed communication, nursing education, first aid training, and clinical escalation. Learners can practise wound assessment, dressing application, risk recognition, compassionate communication, documentation, and referral pathways in a safe and controlled training environment.

To further enhance realism, the wound can be complemented with moulage materials such as Fresh Scab, Stage Blood, and professional makeup products. Clothing, dressings, or patient positioning may be adjusted to support the intended scenario and increase immersion.
