The Open Laceration Small Silicone Wound by TraumaSim is a high-fidelity, self-adhesive training aid designed to replicate a medically accurate small open laceration for trauma, clinical, first aid, emergency response, and casualty simulation training.

Manufactured from durable, life-like silicone, this wound supports realistic wound assessment, dressing practice, bleeding recognition, patient management, and scenario-based education. The small open laceration presentation allows learners to assess soft tissue injury, identify wound characteristics, and practise appropriate wound care responses in a safe and repeatable training environment.

Tapered edges assist with seamless blending onto a manikin or live role player, maintaining anatomical realism throughout simulation exercises.

Small Open Laceration Simulation for Trauma and Clinical Training

This silicone wound is ideal for scenarios involving cuts, falls, workplace incidents, vehicle accidents, sporting injuries, first aid training, clinical wound assessment, and emergency response simulation. Learners can practise wound identification, assessment, cleaning, dressing application, bleeding recognition, escalation, reassurance, and patient communication.

To further enhance realism, the wound can be complemented with moulage materials such as Fresh Scab, Stage Blood, and professional makeup products. Clothing may be cut, torn, dirtied, or manipulated to reflect the mechanism of injury and increase immersion.

All TraumaSim silicone wounds are self-adhesive, washable, and reusable, supporting repeated use in high-volume training environments. Available individually or as part of selected trauma, clinical, first aid, and wound care kits.
