The Open Laceration Silicone Wound with Bleeding Capacity by TraumaSim is a high-fidelity, self-adhesive training aid designed to replicate a medically accurate open soft tissue laceration with active bleeding. Manufactured from durable, life-like silicone, this wound supports realistic trauma, emergency, and clinical simulation scenarios.

The open wound profile and layered depth simulate soft tissue injury commonly seen in accidents, sharp force trauma, and industrial incidents. Integrated bleeding capability allows for dynamic simulation, while tapered edges enable seamless blending onto a manikin or live role player for enhanced realism.

Open Laceration for Trauma & Emergency Simulation Training

This silicone wound is ideal for first aid training, emergency response scenarios, prehospital care, and clinical education. The bleeding function enables learners to practise haemorrhage control, wound assessment, and treatment techniques in realistic conditions.

To further enhance realism, the wound can be complemented with moulage materials such as Fresh Scab, and Stage Blood. Clothing can be cut, burned, or manipulated to reflect mechanism of injury and improve scenario immersion.

For optimal bleeding simulation, the tube can be discreetly positioned and connected to the included syringe, allowing controlled activation during training scenarios.

All TraumaSim silicone wounds are self-adhesive, washable, and reusable, supporting repeated use in high-volume training environments. Available individually or as part of selected wound kits.
