The Lifecast Male Torso with Bleeding Wounds by TraumaSim is a high-fidelity training aid designed to support the demonstration and practice of managing critical trauma injuries to the chest, abdomen, and groin. Developed for realistic, scenario-based training, this unit enables learners to build competence in life-saving haemorrhage control techniques under guided instruction.

Featuring three anatomically positioned wounds with independent blood delivery systems, the trainer allows instructors to simulate a range of trauma scenarios with controlled bleeding.

Advanced Trauma Training for Critical Wound Management

This training aid is designed for use in first aid, pre-hospital, emergency response, and tactical training environments. Learners can practise identifying and managing life-threatening bleeding in high-risk anatomical locations using realistic visual and tactile cues.

Each wound is connected to an individual syringe system, allowing the trainer to control bleeding independently. By applying pressure to the syringes, blood flow can be varied to simulate different injury severities and response conditions.

To enhance realism during training, this unit is commonly used alongside TraumaSim SimClot and TraumaSim Training Gauze for effective wound packing simulation.

TraumaSim recommends using Ben Nye Stage Blood diluted at a ratio of 1 part blood to 3 parts water for optimal performance.

Proven Training Impact

This training aid was originally developed in collaboration with the Queensland Police Service and has been used in Tactical First Aid training programs. These programs have contributed to real-world life-saving outcomes and received international recognition, including a Global Policing Award in London.
