The Impalement – Stick Silicone Wound by TraumaSim is a high-fidelity, self-adhesive training aid designed to replicate a medically accurate impalement injury for trauma, clinical, emergency response, first aid, and casualty simulation training.

Manufactured from durable, life-like silicone, this wound supports realistic penetrating trauma assessment, wound protection, patient management, escalation, and scenario-based education. The stick impalement presentation allows learners to practise recognition and management of an embedded object injury in a safe, controlled, and repeatable training environment.

Tapered edges assist with seamless blending onto a manikin or live role player, maintaining anatomical realism throughout simulation exercises.

Stick Impalement Simulation for Trauma and Emergency Training

This silicone wound is ideal for scenarios involving falls, outdoor injuries, workplace incidents, vehicle accidents, industrial accidents, rural or remote response, first aid training, and emergency casualty care. Learners can practise wound assessment, stabilisation principles, dressing around an embedded object, bleeding recognition, shock recognition, escalation, reassurance, and patient communication.

To further enhance realism, the wound can be complemented with moulage materials such as Fresh Scab, Stage Blood, and professional makeup products. Clothing may be cut, torn, dirtied, burned, or manipulated to reflect the mechanism of injury and increase immersion.

All TraumaSim silicone wounds are self-adhesive, washable, and reusable, supporting repeated use in high-volume training environments. Available individually or as part of selected trauma, clinical, first aid, and moulage kits.
