Description
Acute Scald Burn Simulation for Rapid Forearm Injury Training
The Forearm Scald Burn by TraumaSim provides a realistic, high-fidelity simulation of an acute scald injury caused by hot liquids or steam. Because scald burns often progress quickly during the first hours, accurate training tools play a critical role in early assessment and intervention. This single, self-adhesive wearable allows learners to practise identifying and managing scald burns during the vital 0–2 hour window.
TraumaSim developed the Forearm Scald Burn with clinical guidance from Professor Fiona Wood AO. As a result, the wound reflects realistic colour changes, blistering and skin response seen in early scald injuries. Therefore, educators can confidently deliver scenarios that mirror real clinical presentations and reinforce correct first aid and escalation decisions.
Why Train with an Acute Scald Burn Simulation?
Scald burns remain one of the most common burn injuries across domestic, workplace and healthcare settings. However, early scald injuries can appear less severe than they truly are. For this reason, learners must gain experience recognising early warning signs and responding appropriately.
The Forearm Scald Burn supports fast application and quick scenario resets. Consequently, instructors can rotate the wearable between learners and run repeated drills without delays. This makes the product particularly effective for first aid training, emergency response education and clinical skills sessions.
