Description
Acute Fire Burn Simulation for Rapid Forearm Injury Training
The Forearm Fire Burn 0–2 Hours by TraumaSim is a single, high-fidelity burn simulation wearable designed to represent the immediate presentation of a fire burn injury. Because the first hours following a burn are critical for assessment, cooling and escalation, this product allows learners to train accurately for the acute phase of burn care using a realistic, easy-to-apply solution.
Developed with clinical guidance from Professor Fiona Wood AO, this forearm burn reflects the visual characteristics and tissue response commonly seen within the first two hours following flame exposure. As a result, educators can deliver realistic scenarios that prepare learners to recognise severity, initiate correct first aid and make early clinical decisions under time pressure.
Why Train with an Acute Fire Burn Simulation?
Fire burns in the acute phase often present with intense redness, blistering and evolving tissue damage. However, these injuries can be underestimated if responders lack exposure to realistic burn representation. Therefore, accurate simulation of the 0–2 hour stage is essential for building confidence and competence in early burn management.
The Forearm Fire Burn 0–2 Hours supports rapid scenario setup and repeat training opportunities. Because it is a single wearable unit, instructors can deploy it quickly across multiple learners, making it ideal for first aid courses, emergency response training and clinical skills sessions.
