The Abrasion Deep Silicone Wound by TraumaSim is a high-fidelity, self-adhesive training aid designed to replicate a medically accurate deep abrasion for trauma, clinical, emergency response, first aid, and casualty simulation training.

Manufactured from durable, life-like silicone, this wound supports realistic wound assessment, dressing practice, bleeding recognition, patient management, and scenario-based education. The deeper abrasion presentation allows learners to assess a more significant graze or friction injury, supporting training in wound cleaning, dressing selection, pain response, and patient communication. Tapered edges assist with seamless blending onto a manikin or live role player, maintaining anatomical realism throughout simulation exercises.

Deep Abrasion Simulation for Trauma and Clinical Training

This silicone wound is ideal for scenarios involving falls, road trauma, sporting injuries, workplace incidents, machinery contact, vehicle accidents, emergency response, and clinical wound assessment. Learners can practise wound identification, injury assessment, dressing application, bleeding recognition, escalation, and coordinated patient management in a controlled training environment.

For additional abrasion and graze presentations, trainers may also consider the Abrasion Large Graze and Abrasion Small Graze, allowing educators to build scenarios with varying wound size, severity, and mechanism of injury.

To further enhance realism, the wound can be complemented with moulage materials such as Fresh Scab, Stage Blood, and professional makeup products. Clothing may be torn, cut, dirtied, or manipulated to reflect the mechanism of injury and increase immersion.

All TraumaSim silicone wounds are self-adhesive, washable, and reusable, supporting repeated use in high-volume training environments. Available individually or as part of selected trauma, clinical, and wound care kits.
