Virtual reality is becoming a popular way to train paramedics, first aiders and other medical specialities, but to date there hasn't been much research looking at its true value. ECU are currently looking VR in comparison to live realistic training for paramedic triage training. We recently provided moulage for both filming and live events for their research and look forward to seeing the outcome of this vital research.
TraumaSim was on Channel 9 News recently when they covered the importance of the Stop the Bleed program.
We are proud to support Stop the Bleed by providing Emergency Tourniquet Trainers and Haemostatic Wound Training Aids. This program provides simple and clear instruction on how to control life threatening haemorrhage which could result from vehicle or industrial accidents, shark attack or even form simple accidents in the home.
TraumaSim provided moulage and training aids (Emergency Tourniquet Trainer and bleeding silicone arm for wound packing) for this news segment.
