The Cuts and Bruises Wheel features four shades valuable for creating injuries. The colours are based off of the shades that appear in the skin throughout the lifespan of an injury. The shades Blood Red, and Sapphire Blue can be used to represent injured and distressed flesh, while Forest Green and Yellow work perfectly to mimic the colors that occur throughout the healing process of the skin.
Use a stipple sponge or Stipple & Texture Brush to create broken up and mottled textures with these creme colours. To create custom blends of colours, use a spatula and mixing palette to mix colours before application. Achieve a wash, or stain effect by dampening your brush with isopropyl alcohol. Gently tap colours into the skin for a more subtle effect.
Gently wipe off makeup with Quick Cleanse on a cotton pad. Wash off residue with soap and water, oil-free Hydra Cleanse, or a facial wipe.
